4.12 AI Report

The AI Report reads the results of a run and writes a full document: the key findings, the figures that support them, the points you should check first, and the scope of the analysis. It also suggests the next design step. AI uses only the results of the runs it covers, and your source data stays unchanged.

1. Availability

Plan. AI Reports depend on your plan. Without access, the workbench offers Upgrade Plan. Some plans include a single AI report. Generating a report uses credits, and the cost is shown beside the button.

Analysis type. The AI Report is offered for static structural, modal, transient structural, external flow, rotating flow and Rapid Aerodynamics propeller runs. Other types, such as Rapid Aerodynamics body-only and propeller-driven, keep the row in the list with a note, and the Basic Report remains available.

A report also can't be generated in these cases:

  • The results are locked. Unlock them first.
  • The run's setup can't be read. Run it again with the same settings.
  • The run's data can't be loaded right now. Try again in a moment.

2. Generate a Report

  1. Open the Report step and select AI Report under Report Layout.
  2. If the run has related runs, choose Which Runs the Report Covers: This Run Only, or the related runs together. Related runs can only be reported together when a single input differs between them.
  3. Click Generate AI Report.

You can leave the page while the report is written. It appears on the card when it is ready, and it also works for simulations you ran earlier.

If generation fails, click Try Again. A retry uses the runs you originally requested, not related runs added since. To replace a finished report, click Rewrite AI Report.

3. Save and Share

Save the report with Save as PDF, or use Print. If a report is too large to print as a PDF, save the HTML file instead.

The cover carries a report number, so a printed copy always points back to its simulation.
